Sad, Lonely and Obessed with the Unimportant

Paul wanted to go camping this weekend, but the RV is in Oregon, and even though it will be in the nineties this weekend it might be to chilly at Winter Park for a tent. We still might go for one night. Though I would post a picture of the front lawn. I think we need to be fixing the lawn this weekend rather than camping.

Hair

Because the wind was so bad we lost our dish network. The dish itself was moved about 3 inches, we are going to have the repair guy come and fix it, I sure hope they don't charge us. By the end of the day, my freshly wash hair was a mess, so I went to JC Penneys and had it cut.

Wind

The wind was so bad yesterday that it blow the siding off the Stampete. We got an announcement over the intercom at work, to move your car if you were parked next to the Stampete.

Started a new book over the weekend called "I loved, I lost, I made spaghetti." I am at a lost as to how I could relate to someone so different from me.
Here is the synopsis:
From an affectionate alcoholic, to the classic New York City commitment-phobe, to a hipster aged past his sell date, and not one, but two novelists with Peter Pan complexes, Giulia has cooked for them all. She suffers each disappointment with resolute cheer (after a few tears) and a bowl of pastina (recipe included) and has lived to tell the tale so that other women may go out, hopefully with greater success, and if that’s not possible, at least have something good to eat.

Probably should be posting on goodreads rather than here.

I meet my home teachers last night. One mention he had a six month old, I stated, this ward seemed younger than my last. He said at last count there were 17 boys under a year. Don't see that I will be showing up for church in the near future.

We are still looking for an entertainment center for the living room. Paul found one he liked, but I did not like it because it scream 1980. He was pretty mad because I did not like it and he kind of ordered me to find one (then you find one). So, I went looking for one, I did not find one, but we do need a rug downstairs between the new sofa and the fireplace insert, and I saw a rug I thought Paul would like. It was not really my taste, but it was for Paul's man cave. Paul went and looked at it, liked it and bought it and new he has kind forgiven me for not liking the entertainment center he claims he like. I think he was just tried of looking. Anyway, Paul decided it was too nice for downstairs, so he put it in the living room, which I am okay with(it is only a rug). Brandy really likes it too, I think she thinks we got it for her and now finally she has a dog bed.

Varmits in the Attic

We had decide that this year we were going to worry about the yard, and that even got scaled back to the first tier in the back yard. I kind of took care of the big weeds in the front yard, but we have patches of no grass that we have not been able to solve.

When we got up this morning we discovered the rodents(squirrels) that share our space had chewed up the form bed we had stored in the garage. So we decided we best take a second look at the ceiling insulation.

We don't think this is what it should look like, it is no wonder we have not heard anything in the night. I think we are going to put a strobe light in the attic for a few days and then close out their entrance. I have no idea how we are going to replace the insulation, Paul does not think there are any plywood sheet on top of the rafters. Guess we will find out...but maybe not until next year.

Recovery

Good news is the lilac tree recovered from our spring storm.

Borrowed a 'book on tape' from one of the gals at work. All I can say is stay away form serials that leave you hangin." On the other hand, I listened at work and the day just flew... Okay, so maybe I will give the 'books on tape' another chance. Today I am starting Tribute by Nora Roberts. Do you give reports on books you have heard?
